Why You Need A Virtual Studio

In my last blog post, I shared four key things to consider when you are thinking about taking your wellness business online.

One of the tips I mentioned was to build a Virtual Wellness Studio, vs. just a stand-alone class or program.

Today, I want to elaborate on this and why it can help you grow a thriving business online.

Let's dive right in!

First of all, let's define what I'm referring to when I say Virtual Wellness Studio.

A Virtual Wellness Studio is a dedicated space online to sell, host, and deliver your online yoga, health, and wellness offerings. It is also a hub to build and grow your community online.

A virtual studio can take many different shapes and forms depending on the type of business you have and your goals to grow that business online.

For example:

👉🏼 It could take the form of a wellness memberships site, where your students log in to purchase and access your online yoga classes and programs. They have their own login and password and are able to come back to your classes when they need to and sign up for more as they go.

👉🏼 It can also be a space where you host recordings for your live Zoom classes, workshops, and retreats so that your students can have access to it after the live sessions.

👉🏼 Or a space to host pre-recorded courses or programs within a specific theme, such as a "fall detox program" or a "handstand for beginners course."

What do you offer in your virtual Studio?

A Virtual Wellness Studio can combine any of the following content and offerings (and much more - because honestly, sky's the limit here!)

✔️Pre-recoded videos of classes, workshops, and retreats. These could be videos you recorded on your own or live on Zoom with a group of students.

✔️Lead magnets (free downloads to build your email list).

✔️Free classes so that people can get to know you and build trust with you.

✔️Audio recordings for meditations.

✔️Written content in the form of lessons, worksheets, checklists, guides, and more.

✔️Teacher Trainings and advanced certification courses.

✔️Tutorial videos or "how-to" videos.

✔️And depending on the platform to use, you may be able to stream live classes, workshops, and retreats right inside of your Virtual Studio. (PS. Although this is super cool, there are ways to complement this feature with Zoom if you choose a platform that does not offer this last feature).

When you decide to create a Virtual Wellness Studio, you are thinking bigger because it’s a more comprehensive strategy to build your business online.

It's not just a quick fix to survive the Pandemic (that we all find ourselves in as I'm writing this post); it's a smart strategy to take your business online.

Let's recap with a few of my favorite things about creating your own Virtual Wellness Studio:

#1 Grow Your Wellness Business

It's a better business strategy! Having a virtual studio allows you to show up in a more professional and organized way.

You can go beyond just teaching random live classes on IG or one-off classes on Zoom. A virtual studio helps you create a variety of quality offerings to serve your students in many different ways.

#2 Reach new students + serve more people

You can reach a wider audience online and serve more students who need what you offer.

More and more people are looking to simplify their wellness routines to fit it into their days, and online wellness classes and programs are so much more in demand.

#3 More Revenue and Minimal Overhead

The great thing about creating your own Virtual Wellness Studio is that you can make it happen at a mere fraction of the price of having a physical space.

Many platforms are free to start, and you can upgrade as you go and grow. Depending on the platform, prices may vary from $40 a month to a little over $100.

Just imagine how fast you can recover that investment by hosting just one of your online offerings. Yep, it really is a no-brainer financially.

#4 Build authority

When you have a space of your own, people tend to see you as an expert in your field or niche. Having a Virtual Studio helps elevate your brand and build authority with your community.

It can help you grow your business faster and in a more sustainable way.

#5 Flexibility and Freedom

With a virtual studio, you not only have the freedom of location independence, but you also make your own schedule and have the ability to be as creative and innovative as you want with your offerings.

You are your own boss and manager. That means you make the rules for your Virtual Studio!

If you haven't thought about creating a Virtual Wellness Studio, I hope this post got you thinking about it.
